API Standard NU&EU Plastic and Steel drill pipe threaded protector
The thread protector is a device designed to protect the external pin-end threads on casing manually. It is a durable and secure tool that offers a fast and easy operation, saving time and money during casing screwing and rig operations. Made of strong rubber with a high strength spring-steel band embedded inside, the thread protector provides abrasion resistance. It also features an adjustable cam-type latch assembly for manual locking and unlocking. To use the thread protector, simply place it on the pin-end threads of the pipe, push the handle firmly towards the center of the pipe to securely close it in place, and pull the handle out to release
